Google Cloud Interconnect is now available at Digital Realty’s data centre in Brussels. The shortest route to customers’ Google Cloud resources.

Google Cloud Interconnect at Digital Realty. Companies can now access Google Cloud services via a redundant cross connection and ServiceFabric, Digital Realty’s interconnection and orchestration solution.

Digital Realty customers in the Brussels data centre can now request cross-connections between their private infrastructure and Google Cloud’s global network to optimise hybrid IT architectures. Businesses benefit from secure and cost-effective connectivity to Google Cloud, combining low latency and high performance.

PlatformDIGITAL, the meeting place

ServiceFabric also supports many of the capabilities of Digital Realty’s PlatformDIGITAL® global data centre platform. This ideal meeting place for businesses offers unprecedented access to various densely connected data communities, including more than 5,000 customers, over 1,300 network service providers and over 1,100 cloud and IT suppliers.

With the addition of the Brussels data centre, PlaformDIGITAL now hosts 15 Google Cloud sites: Atlanta, Brussels, Copenhagen, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Los Angeles, Madrid, Marseille, New York, Paris, Santiago, São Paulo, Stockholm, Vienna and Zurich. Customers can establish direct interconnections at these sites, as well as virtually accessing each Google Cloud region from almost 100 sites worldwide via ServiceFabric.

No contact with the public Internet

Google Cloud Interconnect is the shortest route to customers’ Google Cloud resources. During transit, customer network traffic remains on the global Google Cloud network and does not come into contact with the public Internet at any time. This improves performance through more predictable and reliable routing. When customers establish a new connection, they can choose between a hosted connection provided by Digital Realty and a special connection with Google Cloud.
